Our vision is that this space will be a meeting place for a community with a shared belief that even in the face of mental health challenges, well-being is fully accessible.
We know all about the setbacks that come with mental health challenges because we’ve been there. We also know that with the right support, a full, meaningful life is well within reach, as is an opportunity to emerge on the other side stronger, wiser and more resilient.
This is why we’re here. We’re here to provide you with the support you need, and to remind you that sometimes it is OK to not be OK.
Whether you’re experiencing a setback, going through a difficult time, or have recently received a mental health diagnosis that you’d prefer to live without, we’re here to remind you that you’re not broken, and you don’t need fixing.
You’re still you, still whole and if you need to ask for help, guess what? You’re still strong. In fact, asking for help when you need it is one of the strongest things you can do.
Why we see ourselves as wellness warriors
We call ourselves warriors because we strive to build determination and perseverance in the face of difficult symptoms, diagnoses and social stigma.
As warriors, we move forward even in the face of obstacles because we know that these obstacles have the potential to nudge us forward into the next phase of growth.
We recognize that life is full of unfortunate circumstances that are beyond our control, and understand that it is how we respond to these challenges that makes us warriors.
We acknowledge that we won’t always make the right choices, but that our mistakes will make us stronger and help us grow.
Self-care for warriors
These days, everyone’s talking about self-care. But for many of us—especially when we’re in the thick of a mental health challenge—self-care is not as easy as it sounds.
One very simple, but powerful way you can practice self-care is by reaching out for help when you need it and allowing yourself to receive the support that you deserve.
In a society that would prefer that we sweep mental health issues under the rug, it takes incredible strength to rise above the negative chatter and ask for help. No matter what you may have heard, we ALL need a hand sometimes.
It might surprise you how empowering it is to reach out for help when you need it.
When it comes to psychosis, we know that early treatment is a game-changer. But we also know that no one journey looks the same, so we’re here to help you find a path for wellness that works for you.
After all, you deserve to feel better. You deserve to have the chance to go after your dreams. You are so worth it.
